Kkotjam Deohagi
지리산 옛술도가
Kkotjam Deohagi Makgeolli, crafted by Jirisan Yet Suldoga, is a Takju (Makgeolli) made from rice and traditional Nuruk. It features a subtle sweetness of grains, a smooth texture, and delicate carbonation that adds a refreshing touch. With a medium body and clean finish, it pairs exceptionally well with a variety of Korean dishes. Recommended as an accompaniment to savory seafood pancakes, Tofu Kimchi, or as a light meal accompaniment.
The creamy texture and subtle sweetness of Kkotjam Deohagi find harmony with Korean cuisine. For a classic pairing, consider Dak Galbi, the spicy stir-fried chicken. The gentle sweetness of the makgeolli cools the fiery gochujang, whilst the effervescence cuts through the dish's richness. As a flavor bridge, enjoy it with Chicken Karaage accompanied by Yuzu Aioli; the herbaceous Yuzu in the Aioli uplifts the makgeolli's floral notes.
